KU School of Nursing instructor identifies a model for success at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas

The University of Kansas School of Nursing Honors BSN graduates presented their final research projects to an audience of fellow students, faculty and guests in Reike Auditorium on April 30, 2012. Each of the eleven honors students completed a research project, working with a faculty mentor over their senior year. These projects ranged from "Effects of Intravenous Coenzyme Q10 Following Hemorrhagic Shock" to "Is there an App for That? A review of Apps for Adults with Special Needs." Geri Neuberger, RN, EdD is the coordinator of the BSN Honors Program.

Historic Agreement in Nursing Education Collaboration

Registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., can now continue their training and earn bachelor of science in nursing degrees at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, thanks to a new agreement between KU and Butler. Full release

Nurses of the Future

Each of us will, most likely, need the care of a nurse at some point during our lives. Nurses are critical to how patients perceive their treatment during hospitalization and in other clinical care settings, and they make a significant difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families every day. The KU School of Nursing takes its responsibility seriously in developing nursing care for the future at all levels of the profession.
