Nancy K. Barr, MS, RN
Nancy Barr is an undergraduate clinical instructor for the University of Kansas School Nursing with her teaching area focusing on critical care and leadership. Her educational background is adult health, nursing of adults and nursing administration.
Barr is licensed in Missouri and Kansas. She is currently a member of the American Nurses Association, the Missouri Nurses Association, the Kansas Nurses Association, the Emergency Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Barr has a dual membership through the University of Missouri Kansas City and Avila University with Sigma Theta Tau.
She is a 2004 Missouri delegate to the American Nurses Association House of Delegates. She serves as treasurer for the Missouri Nurses Association and Avila University Sigma Theta Tau Beta Lambda Chapter. Barr chairs the Council on Nursing Practice for the Missouri Nurses Association and is a member of the Council on Nursing Practice and the Nursing Research Council of St. Joseph Health Center, Kansas City, Mo. She is a member of the Magnet Steering Committee for the hospital. She is employed as a clinician III in the Emergency Department of St. Joseph Health Center, the weekend option program.
She is Trauma Nurse Core Course Certified, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course Instructor and Advance Cardiac Life Support credentialed.
