At the University of Kansas School of Nursing, discovering new knowledge for nursing and healthcare practice is critical to our mission. The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) coordinates these efforts on behalf of School of Nursing faculty researchers, as they work to further our reach into innovative science and nursing practice within health care delivery.
The OGR provides core resources in the pre-award and post-award stages of research in an environment that encourages discovery and collaboration.
Assistance is provided with grant development, preparation and proposal processing, and with peer review of faculty research proposals. The Grants and Research office offers general consultation in the post-award stage in the areas of requisitions and budget monitoring, project staff recruitment and onboarding, preparation of manuscripts for publication and development of posters and slides for presentations
Also, faculty and research assistants have access to the OGR's Resource Room, which includes an advance computer station and a reference library with a wide range of materials about research design and methodology, measurement, statistics and writing.
